The Beige/Coffee/Dark Navy color combination intertwines warm tones of beige and coffee brown with subtle dark blue accents, enhancing the characteristic herringbone pattern. Shetland wool, appreciated for its natural texture and slightly rustic surface, gives the garment structure, insulating capacity, and a rich hand, maintaining an authentic and contemporary aesthetic.
The model features a slightly soft silhouette, with rounded shoulders and a construction free of rigid structures, designed to naturally accompany movements. Classic notched lapels introduce a reference to tailoring language, while the front buttoning maintains the essential setup of the overshirt.
The construction is completed by three patch pockets: one on the left chest and two large lower pockets, functional details that recall the tradition of workwear clothing. The long sleeves feature buttoned cuffs with finished slit and internal lining, designed to facilitate fit over shirts and knitwear. The straight hem and back vent complete the silhouette, maintaining balanced proportions and a natural fall.
Entirely made in Portugal, the Sheldon overshirt expresses Officine Générale’s vision of a men’s wardrobe built around material quality, proportion precision, and detail functionality. The herringbone weaving gives the garment a distinctive identity, combining the character of Shetland wool with the structural lightness of an informal jacket. A contemporary interpretation of men's outerwear, balancing tailoring tradition, workwear sensitivity, and textile refinement.

THE BRAND
Officine Générale
Officine Générale is a Parisian maison founded in 2012 by Pierre Mahéo with the goal of creating a well-built wardrobe, meant to last beyond the rhythm of the seasons. The vision comes from the personal experience of the founder and a direct knowledge of tailoring: the classics of menswear are reinterpreted with contemporary proportions, a relaxed attitude, and particular attention to the quality of the material. The result is a sober, everyday, and recognizable French style without relying on invasive graphic elements.
The material is one of the cornerstones of the project. Officine Générale selects British, Italian, and Japanese fabrics and mainly develops production in Europe, working on tailoring, knitwear, outerwear, shirts, and workwear-inspired garments. Soft jackets, well-calibrated trousers, knitwear, and overcoats are conceived as elements of a continuous wardrobe, where value does not lie in novelty for its own sake but in the garment’s ability to be worn for a long time and in different combinations.
The Officine Générale selection on Setaccio reflects this approach well. Jackets like Giovanni, trousers Pierre, Hoche and Oswald, work jackets, knitwear, and wool turtlenecks coexist with shirts, T-shirts, and outerwear. Virgin wool, cotton, cashmere, and natural blends are particularly present, while much of the available products are made in Portugal. The assortment also includes some lifestyle items, consistent with the extension of the brand’s universe beyond clothing.
Officine Générale on Setaccio is therefore a proposal for those looking for a contemporary menswear wardrobe, refined but not formal in a rigid sense. Proportions, fabrics, and construction define easy-to-use garments, designed to gain value through use and to remain coherent beyond the single season.
