Officine Générale is a Parisian maison founded in 2012 by Pierre Mahéo with the goal of creating a well-built wardrobe, meant to last beyond the rhythm of the seasons. The vision comes from the personal experience of the founder and a direct knowledge of tailoring: the classics of menswear are reinterpreted with contemporary proportions, a relaxed attitude, and particular attention to the quality of the material. The result is a sober, everyday, and recognizable French style without relying on invasive graphic elements.

The material is one of the cornerstones of the project. Officine Générale selects British, Italian, and Japanese fabrics and mainly develops production in Europe, working on tailoring, knitwear, outerwear, shirts, and workwear-inspired garments. Soft jackets, well-calibrated trousers, knitwear, and overcoats are conceived as elements of a continuous wardrobe, where value does not lie in novelty for its own sake but in the garment’s ability to be worn for a long time and in different combinations.

The Officine Générale selection on Setaccio reflects this approach well. Jackets like Giovanni, trousers Pierre, Hoche and Oswald, work jackets, knitwear, and wool turtlenecks coexist with shirts, T-shirts, and outerwear. Virgin wool, cotton, cashmere, and natural blends are particularly present, while much of the available products are made in Portugal. The assortment also includes some lifestyle items, consistent with the extension of the brand’s universe beyond clothing.
