THE BRAND
Kenzo
KENZO is a maison founded in Paris in 1970 by Kenzo Takada, a Japanese designer who created a language capable of putting different cultures, colors, and references in dialogue. Since the beginning, the brand has developed a Franco-Japanese identity based on expressive freedom, contamination, and dynamic use of prints. This spirit remains one of the fundamental codes of the maison, which continues to reinterpret its archive through a contemporary wardrobe in which Parisian elements and Japanese influences coexist without rigid hierarchies.
Graphic symbols play an important role in the KENZO universe. The Tiger, the Boke Flower, and other icons are applied to sweatshirts, T-shirts, knitwear, and accessories, while more constructed garments introduce workwear, varsity, and sartorial references. The result is a wardrobe that alternates immediately recognizable elements with more sober products, always maintaining a strong visual component. Cotton, wool, denim, and leather are used in often relaxed or slightly oversized silhouettes.
The KENZO selection on Setaccio mainly includes knitwear, sweatshirts, and T-shirts, accompanied by trousers, shirts, jackets, and small accessories. Happy Tiger and Boke Flower pieces, wool and cotton sweaters, work jackets, and virgin wool trousers are present, as well as wallets and hats. A significant part of the jersey is produced in Portugal, while the more structured garments come from various European and international production centers depending on the type.
KENZO on Setaccio therefore represents energetic but wearable menswear, capable of moving from graphic pieces to more constructed items without losing coherence. The dialogue between French and Japanese culture remains the common thread of a proposal designed for those who seek color, identity, and freedom of combination in the daily wardrobe.
