Montgomery Atlantic in wool

Sale price€790,00

VAT included. Shipping calculated at checkout

The Atlantic Montgomery by Camplin is made of a fabric composed of 70% wool and 30% polyamide, here presented in a green shade. The construction takes up the classic duffle coat with hood and front toggle closure, accompanied by a zip to increase protection from the cold. The side and front pockets maintain the functional character of the model, while the Air Warm system contributes to thermal insulation without weighing down the garment. Made in Moldova, the Atlantic translates Camplin's maritime and British heritage into an outerwear piece suitable for everyday use.

THE BRAND

Camplin

Camplin is a brand linked to the history of the peacoat and British naval clothing. The official history of the brand traces its origins back to the late nineteenth century, when the Camplin family operated as a supplier to the Royal Navy and Robert Camplin developed an outerwear garment intended for Petty Officers: short, warm, durable, and sufficiently practical to allow freedom of movement on board. From this matrix the peacoat was born, which still today constitutes the main reference of Camplin’s identity.

The brand retains several details inspired by the naval world. The blue-green grosgrain used as reinforcement for the buttonholes recalls the ribbon of the Naval General Service Medal, while the cordage recalls the function of the rope used to close the double-breasted coat when multiple layers were worn under the uniform. Alongside these heritage elements are contemporary materials and solutions, with the goal of maintaining the character of the peacoat by adapting it to urban and everyday use.

The Camplin selection on Setaccio is entirely dedicated to outerwear. The Peacoat Island is accompanied by long versions, the Command, the Explorer field jacket, the Letter bomber, and the Atlantic montgomery. Wool is the dominant material, often combined with technical fibers to increase resistance and functionality; some models also use padding designed to improve protection in colder seasons. The assortment thus allows the maritime heritage to be read through different constructions.

Camplin on Setaccio therefore represents outerwear that starts from a very precise historical code and translates it in a contemporary key. Peacoat, naval details, and protective fabrics define a proposal designed for those looking for a recognizable, functional outer garment far from fleeting fashions.
