THE BRAND
Borriello
Borriello is a Neapolitan shirtmaker born in 1977, when Clelia Borriello started a craft workshop dedicated to shirts in Naples. Since then, the brand has built its identity around the Neapolitan shirtmaking tradition, with an approach that focuses on craftsmanship, proportions, and fabric quality. The product is conceived as a precise yet natural garment, capable of combining a recognizable tailoring construction with a contemporary and easily wearable aesthetic.
The manual work is one of the distinctive elements of Borriello: carefully finished buttonholes, mother-of-pearl buttons, seams and details carried out by specialized artisans contribute to defining the character of the shirt. Cottons, linens, and seasonal fabrics are interpreted through stripes, checks, denim, flannels, and velvets, maintaining a balance between formal and casual. The research on materials and models thus allows the brand to evolve without losing connection with the Neapolitan tailoring culture.
The Borriello selection on Setaccio is entirely dedicated to men's shirts. There are models in cotton, linen, denim, flannel, and velvet, along with striped, micro-check, and overshirt variants. Most of the available garments are Made in Italy and the assortment allows moving from the most classic shirt to more relaxed interpretations, suitable to be worn also as an outer layer. Cotton remains the dominant material, accompanied by linen in the lighter proposals.
Borriello on Setaccio therefore represents an authentic reading of Neapolitan shirtmaking: craft tradition, selected fabrics, and variety of constructions define a product designed for those who seek a well-made shirt, recognizable in the details and capable of fitting naturally both into a tailored wardrobe and a more informal one.
