Ballantyne is a knitwear maison with deep Scottish roots. The history of the textile family begins in 1820, while 1921 marks the official birth of D. Ballantyne Brothers & Co., a reality specifically dedicated to cashmere knitwear. During the twentieth century the brand builds an international reputation around the quality of the yarns and the craftsmanship of the knitwear, until receiving the Queen’s Award in 1966. Since 2004 the project has entered a new Italian phase, maintaining the Scottish heritage as a cultural reference.
