<p>Avant Toi is an Italian knitwear brand founded in 1994 by the siblings Fiorella and Mirko Ghignone within the Liapull group. The project was born from the meeting of yarn culture, artistic research and color experimentation, with the aim of breaking the conventions of luxury knitwear. Cashmere and precious fibers are not treated as materials to be preserved in a uniform perfection, but as surfaces to be transformed through color, abrasions, overlays and manual interventions.</p><p>Mirko Ghignone made experimentation on dyeing central, also introducing airbrush coloring to obtain shades and results that are difficult to replicate. Hand paintings, spray treatments, “destroyed” effects and processes that emphasize irregularity ensure that each garment can acquire a unique character.
