A bit of history: It was the first post-war period when Giuseppe Gatti began to raise silkworms in the attic of his house, later selling the cocoons to the spinning mills of Brianza. It was at this time that a family friend found him a job at a hosiery factory. The name of this dear friend in dialect was “Marculian” and in his honor we named our product line Marcoliani Milano. More than 60 years have passed since then and the children, Erminia, Paolo and Carlo, have been able to collect the legacy of this precious knowledge by making it their own, and interpreting it in a family-run business reality capable of combining profound artisanal wisdom with the most sophisticated technological knowledge.
