THE BRAND
Department 5
The passionate vision of the two founders of the brand is rooted in a deep knowledge of fashion.
To understand the history of Department Five it is fundamental to go back to 1977 when Mario Cangini opened Space Number Five, a small boutique in Milano Marittima where he perfectly mixes unique vintage pieces with the most exciting brands of the time. The meeting with Nicola Silvagni in 2007 leads to the birth of Department 5. The two become true friends, with the same unconventional way of engaging customers and with a unidirectional vision towards stylistic trends before they become too mainstream.
Their key point is to blend workwear and military functionality with a rock attitude.
One of the garments that best represents the Department 5 philosophy is the chino pant "Prince".
